Together, we make the festival. The Piano Biënnale lifts off thanks to the support of its Friends!
Why we’re so happy with our new Friends
It all started with a love of music and an unbridled urge to bring piano music, in particular, to new and wider audiences. Internationally renowned pianist Daria van den Bercken set up the Keys To Music Foundation five years ago. Since then, it’s gradually evolved into a platform or stage for fellow musicians. But not only musicians. Academics, artists and audiences also get to play a role interpreting the music. This form of collaboration, in turn, allows us to create new and innovative forms of presentation. And together, we make an even greater impact.
The première of the Piano Biënnale has been made possible with the support of our numerous partners, Friends and Key Friends – many of whom have been with us since the very beginning. Thank you all so much!

Support the Piano Biënnale, too!
It all begins with a solid foundation. The Piano Biënnale provides musicians and artists with a stage and an online platform where audiences can enjoy their concerts. We stream concerts on our online platform, regularly expanding and updating our streaming collection. By supporting Piano Ground, you’re directly helping us build a more solid foundation for pianists and indirectly supporting all the other musicians involved, too.
Help us lay a solid foundation by becoming a Friend of Piano Ground for just €60 a year.

It’s here that we all meet young, talented, up-and-coming pianists and other musicians and reveal our plans for the Piano Biënnale and the Keys To Music Foundation’s other activities.

Support the arts with a one-time donation
All contributions, small or large, are more than welcome! We’re also really pleased with any one-time donations – every little bit helps us make our dream come true. You can make a donation while buying your concert tickets. Thank you in advance for your support!
Public Benefit Organisation (PBO/ANBI) status makes a donation an attractive tax-friendly option
As a Key Friend, you donate €1,000 a year for five years, either in instalments or as a one-time lump sum. The organisation behind the Piano Biënnale – the Keys To Music Foundation – has cultural Public Benefit Organisation (PBO/ANBI) status. Our PBO status means that you actually only end up paying a net amount of €350 a year after tax deductions.
It’s our mission to bring the power and beauty of classical and contemporary music to a wider audience as part of innovative, new artistic projects. The foundation receives financial support and manages all contributions and activities under the supervision of our Board.
Would you rather support us in some other way? That’s great, too! Let’s discuss what you’ve got in mind and how we can help one another. Please contact our manager, Jill Pisters, by email at jill@keystomusicfoundation.com or by phone on +31 (0)6 41 318317.
