Nikola Meeuwsen, winner of the GrachtenfestivalPrijs 2022 and “a talent to keep an eye on” (NRC) plays one of the most important piano works of the Romantic era.
Who are the pianists that will take the stage this week? Often, all we know about them are their short biographies: mostly uninformative summaries of where they studied, their accolades, and with which orchestras they played as soloists. But not tonight. Together with the team of the highly popular podcast Echt Gebeurd, comedian Micha Wertheim will discover more about the people taking the piano benches, under the title Long Story Short. Expect an informal, cozy and interactive night filled with improvisation, surprising stories, and even improvised piano music.
