Beethoven’s 250th birthday party was cancelled last year, like most of our parties. A real shame because Beethoven contributed so much to piano music. So, to make up for it, we’re gonna hang up a few streamers and pop a few poppers, by performing his Piano Concerto No. 5. Moscow-born, Israeli pianist Boris Giltburg will be taking his place at the piano for the ‘Emperor Concerto’. He was the resounding winner of the 2016 Queen Elisabeth Competition. Giltburg is accompanied by Phion conducted by Ben Glassberg – the perfect recipe for a festive evening!
